 I am a member, but the Member button on the Event registration page is greyed out.

Chapter members must log in to the website to be recognized as members.  The name entered in the registration form is not looked up to validate membership.  Anyone could be entering your name.

 My credit card is not being accepted.

ATDSCC does not process your credit card.  We outsource that function to PayPal.  Therefore, it is PayPal or your bank that is rejecting your card information.  ATDSCC has no control over this phase of registration. 

Having said that, there are some things to check.  This information is anecdotal information that has been collected from users' past experience.

A. When your credit card is rejected, and PayPal presents you with the input form for you to retry, check all of the fields.  For example, let's say you mistyped your credit card number.  After you correct it, check the Expiration Date field.  PayPal frequently clears that field (and sometimes the security number) field when it redisplays the input form.

B. Make sure the address matches the billing address.  If you are using your company's card, don't put your home address in the address field, and vice versa.  It has also been reported that PayPal does not always recognize "St." as the abbreviation for "Street", "Dr." for "Drive", etc.

C. Your bank's system may not be responding.  With some financial institutions, if the system is busy, down for maintenance, or otherwise unavailable, it will simply reject your card without explanation.  Try again later.

D. Try another browser.  This should not be happening, but the reality is that different browsers have different interpretations of Internet standards.

E. If you are registering for an event, let it go, and pay at the door.  Even if your card is rejected, you are registered, and our database shows that you owe the registration fee.

 I do not want to pay online.  What are my alternatives?

You may pay at the door using a credit card, check, or cash.

You may also mail a check made payable to ATDSCC to:

How do I cancel my reservation?

Cancellations are honored on a case-by-case basis.

I am not receiving meeting notices and updates.

It is possible that we do not have your current email address in our email database. 
Send email to info@astdscc.org requesting that we update your information.

If you are using your company email address, it is possible that the company's spam intervention is blocking our email. 
We use Constant Contact for our bulk email, and some companies block all email from them. 
Talk to your network administrators, or consider changing your email to your personal account.

Do I have to be a member of ATD National to join the local chapter?

No.  Though we encourage you to join the National organization, it is not a requirement for membership in the local chapter.

How do I renew?

1. Log in. 

2. A message will appear, in the bottom right corner, if you have unpaid invoices, incomplete registrations, lapsed or overdue membership, or if the date is within a week of your renewal date. 

3. To renew or upgrade membership, click the View profile link to jump to your member profile page (Your name might appear as the link). 

4. From your Profile page, you can perform a variety of self-service functions, including membership renewal and editing your email. To renew membership, click the Renew button from your Profile page. As you are limited to renewing only one year ahead, or only within a certain number of days or months before the membership expires, a notice informing you of the next possible renewal date will appear in place of the Renew button. 

5. Review and update your membership details. After clicking Update and next and confirming the renewal, you will be taken to the Invoices and payments page where you can pay your invoiceyou 

6. Until the payment is made, a Balance due notification will be shown on the notification bar, and a message will be displayed on your profile.

How do I update my information?

To update your membership information, click the View profile link to jump to your member profile page (your name might appear as the link). 
On your Profile page, you can perform a variety of self-service functions, including changing your data, renewing your membership and editing your email.
