Communities of Practice (CoP)
ATD’s Communities of Practice (formerly SIGs – Special Interest Groups) consist of smaller groups of practitioners who seek to focus on specific areas within the training and development field. Each community of practice is led by a community leader whose in-depth knowledge will ensure that the content, offerings, and resources keep practitioners at the forefront of the industry.
The benefits of joining a CoP are:
-
Find relevant information on topics you’re passionate about.
-
Stay current with new trends and research in specific training and development disciplines.
- Connect with learning professionals with the same interests as you and share best practices.
- Develop additional marketing tools that will enhance your brand to create business development opportunities.
We currently have two active CoPs: (select the link below for more information)-
Coaching – led by Karen Kirchner and Denise D’Agostino
- Learning – led by Jeff Potacki and Anna Samorukova
You can join a CoP by reaching out to the topic leader. You’ll find contact information, location and days/times.
Meetings are open to members and non-members at no cost. You don’t need to be a member of ATD to join a CoP, but we encourage you to join the chapter for all the additional benefits.
