Understanding Bias to Unleash Potential

Presented by Special Guest Speaker:

Daniel Martin

Delivery Consultant

FranklinCovey

Time-strapped professionals use unconscious bias to make quick decisions without considering the subtext. Have you ever been judged for working from home instead of the office?  Working for yourself instead of for a corporation? Been disregarded because of misconceptions of your generation? Or even worse – do others think you have a bias against them? The answers to these questions can hurt reputations and bottom lines.

In this interactive workshop, Daniel Martin, Delivery Consultant at FranklinCovey will demonstrate that bias does not have to be a scary 4-letter word. Join your peers in practice activities from FranklinCovey’s newest learning solution designed to help you identify and reduce bias at the individual, team and organizational level. Apply what you learn to your everyday life to cultivate a high-performance culture for your clients and teams. Don’t let your world view stand in your way!

Attendees will gain the ability to:

  • Identify Bias: Recognize the impact of bias on behaviors, decisions, and performance.
  • Cultivate Connection: Increase empathy and curiosity in personal interactions to surface and explore bias.
  • Choose Courage: Explore ways to face bias with courage and create the space where everyone is respected, included, and valued.
  • Commit to actions: address the biases that limit individual performance and the performance of others.
