Coaching…the “Go-To” Capability

in a Digital Era

With Guest Speaker Michael Leckie,

Former Chief Learning Officer for

GE’s Digital Transformation

In an increasingly digital world, business is discovering that it is those who are most adept at interpersonal skills are the best at truly driving change. If an organization is truly committed to continuous change and performance improvement, current practice and research indicate that leaders and managers must become effective coaches. Learning and Development professionals are an important driver of this leadership transformation. We align our efforts with the organizational strategy and design the training that can help transform the traditional manager into an effective “leader/coach”.

Michael Leckie will help us explore what coaching skills are needed to drive performance improvement across an organization, and why the competency of a leader/coach is quickly becoming a critical core capability in our digital age. During the presentation, you will have the opportunity to hear about what some of today's most admired companies are doing with coaching throughout their organizations, and the key role these capabilities play in changing how organizations work.

Be prepared to explore the topic and build your leader/coach skills in a “learning by doing” exercise. As a take away, each participant will be provided the foundational information necessary to develop a key management and leadership development program critical to the overall success of any business.

Michael has been responsible for developing and delivering global programs in advanced coaching and change skills for nearly two decades. He is the former Chief Learning Officer for GE's Digital Industrial Transformation.  Previously, Michael headed up the Global Service Delivery Excellence program for Gartner's Executive Programs and was a Senior Manager at Arthur Anderson.  Michael received his MSOD from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School and his BA from Vanguard University of Southern California.
